Almond flour soda bread
Jan. 11th, 2026 04:16 pmI kind of cobbled together two recipes, and it came out all right, though it doesn't rise very much:
Mix together in one bowl:
4 cups almond flour
1.5 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
And in another bowl
2 eggs
2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
3/4 cup buttermilk
Then combine wet and dry ingredients, add about a cup of currants, and roll into a ball, cut a cross shape into it.
Press into a round pan (I used the lid of the cast-iron dutch oven) and put into a preheated 350 oven.
Bake for 30 minutes, let sit in the hot oven another 10 minutes, then let it cool at least 30 minutes before serving
